Power has been restored to Perrine, RSMS, TFHS, Sawtooth, CRHS, Lincoln, and Harrison. Thank you for your patience as we worked through the challenges of a power outage affecting our schools. School will continue as normal for the remainder of the day.

We are currently experiencing a power outage. As a result, we do not have access to our phone system. Our staff members have access to cell phones for emergencies. We have been in contact with Idaho Power, and they anticipate our power to be restored by 11:30. We will let you know as soon as we have additional information. If you have an emergency need to contact your child's school during this time, please contact the district office at 208-733-6900. School will continue as normal at this time.

Tomorrow is Fidget Friday! Sales will be completed during last recess for 1st through 5th grades. Kindergarten sales will be done through order form. Items range from $1-$3.
Sawtooth Elementary: Secure and Teach Drill Tomorrow
Dear Sawtooth Families,
Tomorrow, Thursday, October 8, Sawtooth Elementary will conduct a Secure and Teach Drill as part of our ongoing commitment to school safety.
A Secure and Teach response is used when there is a potential safety concern in the surrounding area, but the threat is not immediate. During this response, students and staff remain safely inside the building, exterior doors are secured, and teaching and learning continue as normal.
The purpose of tomorrow's drill is to give students and staff an opportunity to practice our safety procedures so they know what to do and can respond calmly and confidently if a real situation arises.
Thank you for your continued partnership as we work together to maintain a safe and supportive learning environment for all students.

Join us for National Walk to School Day on Wednesday, October 7! Meet us with your child at Cascade Park, 1900 Stadium Blvd., at 7:15 AM. We’ll begin walking together at 7:25 AM and arrive at Sawtooth by 7:30 AM.

In the wake of the Canyon West shooting on August 1, the City of Twin Falls is leading a community-wide effort to facilitate recovery and support our town.
As part of this initiative, the city has created a survey to better understand which supports and resources are most needed. As a community partner, the Twin Falls School District is sharing this survey and encourages all of our staff and families to take a few moments to complete it.

We want to let you know that our fire alarm went off this afternoon due to an accidental system activation. There was no fire or danger on campus. Our maintenance team is working on our HVAC system to ensure that there is no connection between the alarm activation and that system.
Students and staff evacuated the building in accordance with standard safety protocols and returned to their normal schedule once the alarm was deactivated. The fire department responded to the scene and confirmed that it was safe to reoccupy the building.
Thank you for your understanding.
