In the Garden Club at Rock Creek, students have been learning the difference between bulbs and seeds. They have been having a lot of fun getting their hands dirty and planting seeds and bulbs. They are learning that some seeds germinate faster than others. Students can't wait until their garden is built and they can move their seeds outside!

On Monday students in Mrs. Z's class learned about Circle of Control during their SEL lesson. They talked about things that are in our control, what isn’t, and how to deal with certain situations.

Spring Break is already almost here! 🌸🌞 School will be out from March 20th to 28th! Enjoy some well-deserved time off, relax, recharge, and stay safe. 🌴✌️ #SpringBreak #RelaxAndRecharge

Last week, in Mrs. McCray's class, everything glowed (even the students)! Everyone demonstrated their learning this quarter through building 2D and 3D shapes, playing addition war, nonsense word beanbag toss, ping pong dictation, and they even worked on glowing sentences! This was a GLOW PARTY to remember!

We hope you will join us for Dads and Donuts on Tuesday, March 18th from 7:15-8:00 am. Bring your dad, uncle, grandpa, or favorite guy. We will see you in the gym!

The week of Parent-Teacher Conferences be sure to pop in and say hello to Mrs. Connelly in the gym. She will be there to greet you and show you some of the fun things students are doing during PE.

Last week the Rock Creek Elementary choir, 65 members from 3rd-5th grade led by Ms. Cami Dry, had a "Groovy" concert that featured music from the 60s and 70s. This last Monday they went on tour to three local retirement homes to perform a live concert and ended the day with some fun at Bowladrome.

This past week in Mrs. O’Connor’s class, students took a deep dive into the minds of colonists during the American Revolution! 🏴☠️📜
They imagined what it would be like if colonists had social media—writing comments on a post from Paul Revere himself! 🏇💬

It’s that time again! ⏰ Don’t forget to spring forward—Daylight Saving Time begins Sunday, March 9th! Set your clocks ahead one hour.🌞 #DaylightSavingTime #SpringForward
